With over
forty years of
experience of
influencing the
buying habits of
liquor consumers and
licensees, I feel I
have gained a
reputation in the
distilled spirits
business for
integrity,
competitive spirit
with great results.
I have been
repeatedly
successful in
introducing new
product lines to a
crowded market, I
have helped designed
and implemented
innovative marketing
and sales programs
and created industry
relationships that
have placed products
in number one
selling positions in
their category.
With a
History Degree from
the University of
Oregon, I was hired
by Seagram
Distillers where I
was accountable for
a full line of
liquors for the
state of Oregon.
From there I moved
to National
Products, an Oregon
liquor brokerage and
worked up to an
equity owner.
Hood River
Distillers hired me
to become the state
manager with a sales
force that I
increased by 4. I
launched my own
bottling company,
Crown Century
Distillers. After
all of the equipment
was in place and we
were producing, I
hired a plant
manager and began
our sales and
marketing in the
Western Control
states. After about
a year and a half I
added a wine and
beer distributorship
adding imported
products from
Germany and France
and adding wine and
liquor salespeople.
After 12 years the
company was sold to
a large bottler in
California.
After a stint of
doing nothing, I
founded Turner/
Wildes Wine and
Spirits, when the
opportunity arose to
become an equity
owner in Indio
Spirits Inc. I
jumped at the chance
to once again
implement my
marketing and sales
skills to grow the
company into a
strong regional
force.
I am a
board member of the
Oregon Sports Hall
of Fame and when not
working I am
enjoying my summer
home on the Oregon
Coast and enjoy
being there with
Susan, my wife of 45
years and children
and grandchildren.
